I’ve always thought of myself to be the type of girl who could hold her ground; I was hit out of left field with this one. It’s like watching the last tide ride itself along the ocean’s sand – deciding to land right upon where you just so happened to hopelessly be building sandcastles. Filled with rage at how King Triton could do this to you, since he the conductor of all the sea and its tides, had to be behind the destruction of your imagined home to be. Your cheeks immediately flush with rage, the sheer silliness of it all anyhow, allowing your mind to once again wander so far into this home, your new home. Oh how you would sit in the east tower enjoying the view from above as you sang to your hearts content; knowing it wouldn’t matter an ounce, for no trace of echo would ever make itself down to the people below you as you were so high up. Snapping back, the earth trembles with all the fury your little eight year old body can muster.
Up you jump, feet planted down into the sand, letting your toes explore all the tiny pieces left over from erosion, every rock, every last grain of mineral. One hand flees up, thrusting up into a fist, ululating as hard as you can. Only you find the only sound you’ve heard close enough to what you’d expect a warrior in flight to fight would make projects that of Xena, “ayiyiiyiyiyiyi”, the warrior princess. Flinging yourself forward, you jump into the watery threshold, thrashing about, making your feel through it. You notice the tide’s raging tougher in madness, a smile widens across your face, Triton’s really putting up a fight this time, you can tell. You feel for once you might finally win one, but then, out the corner of your eye you see the wave stand up to you, as if its about to tap you on the shoulder and give you a piece of its mind; instead it decides to sucker punch your ass as it swallows you down into it’s shadowy world. “You can conquer”, you remind yourself. You reach up, pushing yourself free from its hold, breaking the waves with a exasperated choking breath; “I’m Queen of the tides!”, you yell at it, half excepting it to yell back at you, knowing it knows you’re bullshiting yourself. For fear has just landed, and its evident that the marking spot was your face.

just about my own current situation with _______ .

how i tell him that i know hes scared off his last relationship.

i can just sense it from the way he talks about it.

how it is easy to not get to know one another,

&just fill the void.

i mean, to get to know one another, in that process we get attached.

but the less you know,

the less you can miss.

ive never been on a real date in my life,

not really.

but one day,

id like to.

"I looked in your eyes &in the depths I seen a woman with the ability to stand on her own
&make it through all of life’s adversities without ever having to compromise who she is
&im proud that you have FINALLY found what i have always seen"-delgado

one love:

"You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She's not perfect you aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together, but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break, her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there."
-Bob Marley

"let the clasp wiggle loose till you finally feel the weights fall down
&its then you'll realize you're no longer locked to the memories of an old love".

she wanted to rush to hush her pain
that was pushing far past too much.

from across the room he gazed along,
following a trail to a broke path
where a broken girl would be waiting.

he wasn't much, she didn't want much.
oh but he'd be just quite enough.

&though she had never met him &probably never would.
she could feel his gaze on her so slightly.
she could feel his gaze growing intently.
she could feel his gaze &something in her kicked start, internally.

he wasnt much ,no, but he'd be enough.
she didnt need much.
no, just enough would suffice for her tonight.

blah to the blah:

the man is the head,
but the woman-the woman,
she is the neck, and she
can turn the head
anyway she wants.

you're a flower right now,
as you are the only guy here.

among all the beauties, the girls,
who just turned into fresh cut grass.

you, a flower among beauties.
a flower you are.

un[cage], my firebird

you light my dark night.
come here, sit by my side.
but, dont get to close for i know ill get burned.
so for now this is how we shall remain.
oh, so weary &far away.

but if one day i could get as lucky to get so close
in such close proximity that i can feel your pretty wings
then firebird grace me with your touch &brush against me

if that day should come, then i just might be able to stand the heat.
i think its my time, id like to take my turn on you, my firebird

yes, we have every right to take our turn.
why not stand the heat? yes, firebird,
let's you &i cause the occurrence of a skipped beat.
baby, lets makes our hearts take fleet.

Don't Quote Me On It:

Story of a Couple only together while high.
escaping into a realm of make believe &lies.

we were strong together,
but now we cant seem to get by.

so now im going off
cause this pain its coming strong but
you want an end, a different type of end but
i just cant seem to hold on...

& our running, as would we,
well it would all eventually come to an halt.
